Rabbi Moishy Kalmenson grew up in New Haven, Connecticut and attended Yeshiva in his hometown, as well as in Los Angeles, California. He spent the summers of his Yeshiva years working at a Jewish Day Camp in Toronto, Canada, furthering his passion for Jewish outreach and education. While receiving his Rabbinical ordination, he taught in the New Haven Yeshiva, until he moved to New York and met his wife Chana. Rabbi Moishy continued his rabbinical studies in The Midtown Kollel in Manhattan, where he lectured on various Torah studies and Chassidic philosophy.
Chana Kalmenson, born and bred in Plano, Texas, graduated from Beth Rivkah High school, in Brooklyn, New York. She received her teaching certification from Beit Chana Tzfat, in Israel, and continued her education in Beth Rivkah Seminary. She spent three years teaching middle school Judaic Studies, gaining an invaluable understanding and appreciation for Jewish Education. Chana has prolific experience in youth programming having taught Hebrew School in Manhattan and Queens, as well as having directed Camp Gan Israel of Plano for two years.
Rabbi Moishy and Chana moved to Rockwall, Texas in 2020, with their 2 daughters, Musya and Leah, to start a Chabad House. With the goal of creating a warm and vibrant Jewish community, they are dedicated to reaching every Jew in Rockwall County with the beauty, joy and love of Judaism.
