The Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Shneersohn of righteous memory (1902-1994), the seventh leader in the Chabad-Lubavitch dynasty, is considered to have been the most phenomenal Jewish personality of modern times. Our teacher and mentor, the Rebbe inspired thousands of Chabad Shluchim (Emissaries) to create Chabad Houses and communities around the world. Personally touching the lives of perhaps millions of people, the Rebbe believed in the inherent goodness and G-dliness at the core of every person, and sought to uncover and inspire it to shine bright.
